The First owner of tobacco company Marlboro died of lung cancer!! Philip Morries was the first owner of Marlboro company, and he opened a shop in London's Bond street in 1847, selling tobacco and rolled cigarettes. After posting several articles regarding to the correlation between lung cancer and smoking by Reader's Digest magazine , Philip Morris, and the other cigarette companies took an action and began to market filtered cigarettes. The new Marlboro with a filtered tip was launched in 1955.
